I've got one. Are you trying to make a version that will take a larger touch screen?

Very nice work.

My idea was to make a mould then make a complete new one out of fibreglass.

I intend to modify the shape a bit so the entire panel angles to the driver.

Replace all the switches along the top with smaller ones. (so I can fit a few extra switches for driving lights etc.

Add a bunch of guages (oil pressure/temp, water temp, etc)

and finally the UHF radio

All while trying to keep a little tray space

My only concern is its return. The last time I lent a P38A spare to someone, he never returned it and I haven't heard from him since (I lost his number after a Windows 7 upgrade).

There are always a few on e-bay uk if you can wait for delivery. Just need to check they will post to Aus. ( this seller will, ask for royal mail small packet )Then you can do what you like with it

I should not have looked further at that link you provided. I am now (seriously) investigating the option to putting a touch screen that does both the display of engine parameters and controls all the switching fuctions that were on the console.

Cheap if one could get it for that price.

There are always a good few for sale so prices never get that high. Even buy now prices are sometimes 15 pounds.
