45 in the shade - and HEVAC starts showing the book.
This is a sight you don't see very often:

Which might explain why my HEVAC started displaying the book this morning.
A quick check shows that Fuse 8 has blown: replacing has removed the book - as above - but the air flow is now very poor. Not good when it's 45 in the shade.
Any suggestions for something quick to try before I spend 12 hours ripping out the dash to get at the blend motors?

That's normal temps for me! Welcome to North QLD weather!
Hevac on mine does not throw books.
Might I suggest that you turn your fan speed to slow, replace relay 8 again, and in those temperatures don't go up in fan speed rapidly, nice n steady. The heat is killing your relays.
