There is Plastic Primer (flexible) and an additive that goes in paint to make it "plastic"
Any good Auto Paint supplier should be able to help. (Or even the local Crash Shop) - A carton goes a long way![]()
Hi All I have heard mention of " plastic Paint " suitable for coating a factory plastic bullbar . I bought a replacement for the ratty one that was on when I bought the car but its what you might call a little powdery on the surface.
Can anyone tell me where to buy such a product ? Of course I bought this bar for $600 and a month later learned through this web site of the steel model available from Ballarat. It seems crazy that the aftermarket accessories companies don't cater for RR more as there so popular and good and worthy seeming how long they last ect. I guess thats part of the problem A freind recently drove the Tanami Desert and Gibb River Road and he was the odd man out with his Thor p38 amongst all the Pradas ( Sorry thats Prado, Prada is a type of hand bag) Any way does any one know of this plastic paint ?
Cheers
Bruce

Just unload a can of tyre shine on it. Works on mine to keep it looking black
I second the tyre shine stuff, and have found that the el cheapo stuff seems better than the expensive ones.
I've used the plastic Bumper Bar paint available in a rattle can fron Auto One (possibly Super cheap also) and found it to be quite satisfactory.

you could also use something called plasti dip (could be one word) look on you tube for lots of videos ...
very very hard to remove unless you really try then its easy ... (i know this makes no sense but it is true )
