Put my new sensors in all good .Discovered R/Hand side about 10 mm lower than left. Got EAS unlock going [LOTS of STRESS] it wont let me wright new height only tried to raise it 1 point came up with something about overflow so I got out before I threw another spanner in. Any idea's what I need to do ? Thank's gents![]()
Maybe you have entered a number that is higher or lower than what it allows for that height?
Where's Hoges? I can't remember them off the top of my head! They are listed in a topic about EAS only recently, maybe check that.
Have a read of this mate...
EAS unlock software height readings
I think I worked out what I was doing wrong I was stoping initialisation then going to height section and trying to change values . To many beer's now Ill give it another crack next week. Thank you all for your inputSeem's I didn't watch the video carefully enough
STUPID MAN !
Who wants to knowFlathead Steve, you are in good hands with Keithy P38's advice provided above...
Storey Wilson's videos are most instructive..
as you have discovered also, the EAS ECU is not exactly a multi core super chip... it proceeds at a somewhat "stately" pace and requires time to 'think'...but it gets there.

All good now ! [I think ] No its under control, I went to the fault's section took a few go's to initialize cleared fault's, then stopped initialization, went to calibration area didn't initialize double clicked on something I shouldn't have and the car went NUTS. Went into hard fault [LOUD PROPHANITY'S] The wife came down after 5 min's and we worked it out. I'll wait till the weekend and tweak the height's ; I was thinking about just raising the low side to square it up. Max height difference in any of the setting's is 9 mm all on driver's side. A little less R/Rear What do you think gent's. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN![]()
If you are near the limit on heights on the low side you may have to drop the higher side. I had to do this on mine to level the car. I'm within 1mm on all corners now.
If one corner is low, it can be slightly raised by lowering the diagonally opposite corner ... bit like rocking on a chair with uneven legs (the chair that is)
The LR EAS System Document states the accepted difference is 6mm... bearing in mind of course that measuring from mudguards is only a proxy for the CORRECT (brings out violin) distance which is that between the bottom surface of the metal bumpstop and axle plate... just measuring the mudguard distance is OK provided you truly believe all the panels are exactly aligned and the body has absolutely no twist or misalignment. As we all recognise however, our P38s are perfect in every way...

To get a set of reference numbers, cut several sets of 50mm square wooden blocks (hardwood)...4 for each setting height, place them between the axle plates and bumpstops, rest the vehicle alternately on each set of blocks and read off the bit counts. These are your references. Note at Standard Height, the rears bumpstop/axle plate distance is105 mm, and 100 mm for the front. Add/subtract the relevant numbers from these to get Max, freeway and access heights...
cheers

I got a set of number's with Min Max so I'll check and see where it sit's in it's travel range and fiddle the side to get it central-ish![]()
