    Tie rod end boot replacement

    Hi

I finally managed to replace my damaged tie rod end boot, with a SuperPro Universal Tie Rod End Grease Cup #SPF0332K.

We cleaned out the crap after we cut the old boot off, then lubed it with the special grease provided.

It seems to be doing the job so far.

First pic shows the old boot cut off, second pic shows what it looked like after we bolted it back together, third pic shows what it looks like a week or two later.

It is not sitting on top of the base as it is supposed to, but has slipped over the base as the pic shows. However it seems to be remaining in place so it's certainly better than what was there before and a lot cheaper than a new tie rod assembly !

If it splits and comes off, I will let the forum know

    Steve
