Okay, for anyone who is interested, the adr rules on diesel emissions changed in 1995, starting in 1996, but only to Euro 1, they only tightened up enough to kill off the 4BD1T in 2002 when they were reviewed and moved to the newer Euro limits, so despite what people may tell you, the engine can be older than the car as long as the emissions are from the same set of regs. :D
Only took about half a day to find that out, the government don't seem to want people to know! :mad:
Think The Grubbs idea of engine and gearbox onto P38a transfer case will be the most bomb proof solution, now to figure out how to join everything together. Anyone with any ideas please speak up:angel:
