How so?
You do know how slow trains are to accelerate?

It has better water and oil ways inside it, redesigned combustion chamber shape and a decent head gasket and turbo for a start.
I am happy to admit its not the fastest acceleration of all time but it is relentless, and the fuel consumption is good.
I also like the idea of a kit, you know it will get finished then
The 2.8 is supposed to be really torquey. Seems have everything except refinement, however different blokes like different strokes.
In any case, a longer stroke is more usable than a bigger bore!
I love my strokers!
If I had a P38a now and I had to rebuild the motor,I'd seriously look at putting a diesel into it.
cheers
Mine actually seems quite smooth, it is quite noisy though, and I believe they run something like 18 psi boost as standard, which would agree with what Dougal says about the torque, 375nm at 1400rpm is pretty good though, however it does it.
What about a 1hdfte? Plentifull suply in oz, reliable, great torque and good economy. But they are expensive, though probably cheaper than 10k.
