I'll wave to other P38's... but only if I see 'em.
Most of the time I'm driving with 1 eye on the temp gauge, 1 eye on the HEVAC controls and 1 eye on the EAS lights

Is it just me or don't p38 drivers give the finger (in a friendly, good on you, we've got the same affliction, kinda way) cos every time I wave at on coming p38s not one ever waves back. Sort of makes you feel like a bit of a dick after a while. When I had my 85 c RR fellow enthusiasts always wave back. The only LR people who wave back now are Defender or County owners, these people even lean out the window and wave and smile at you making the world a must better place! Maybe the p38 RR owners think it uncool. Or maybe I'm only passing people who own p38,s and aren't crazy enthusiastic like me and other RR forumites
Is it just me ? Either way Ill keep giving the finger
Ahhh These first world problems hey
All the Best

I wave at every live axle land rover I see, but agree it is mainly defender and classic drivers who wave back, like you I will persevere, hopefully the P38a will be on the road in another month and I will have a whole new waving perspective, wonder if the deefer owners will think I'm too posh, or too crazy to acknowledge?
I used to get waves all the time in my classic, but I gave up waving in the P38, no one waved back!
You have inspired me to try again though.
Hi
Following a thread earlier this year, I decided to wave at anything with a Green Oval or a Series of course.
Most who wave back are in Rangies, but I occasionally get a wave from others.
Perhaps not all Land Rover owners are as dedicated (read crazy) as us mob here on the forum !
Steve
Most people in Bendigo with p38s will wave back; though half of them know ( there's only 5).
D1s mostly wave back too, but not many D2's.
I'll wave to most with a lr badge (always a p38) but if im given a wave I'll always wave back.
In the series world I thought it was one finger for every motor they've gone through. Had a guy give me a 4 fingered wave from a d4 the other day - poor bugger, but if they're hanging out the window to say gidday I'd hate to think what they've been through.
Though if a guy gave me a wink... I'd be a little concerned, thinking no no no, English not American.
only when SWMBO is not in the vehicle... no matter how often I try to explain.....then she says.. "most of the other LR drivers seem to be women!""So?"

I've been waving like a twit since I got my Rangie about 6 months ago (is it really only 6 months?). Funny thing is I don't get many back - Vic drivers are pretty snobby to start with. So my wife and teenage daughter were out for a drive the other day and got a wave and a smile and they weren't even trying. Just saying.![]()
I'm exactly the same so when I do see one I have probably missed others!
To be fair when I do see them I wave and I have noticed it works both ways with neither Range Rovers or any other models waving back sometimes so it's not exclusively a RR thing.
In the UK all marques and models wave to each other.
