    Summer is coming

    Hi

I just wanted mention something I did yesterday which was to remove my Grille and clean out the accumulated leaves, dead insects etc which collect in the front of the radiator and coolers.

I used compressed air, but a carefully applied hose would do the trick.

Its not a good idea to poke or scrape, the vanes are pretty soft and easily bent.

At least mine didn't look like this

Be careful using water (a hose) as grass seeds and the like may expand and do more damage.
IMHO the compressed air method is the best.

    Hi

I agree totally, sometimes I don't know what I would do without a compressor

You can pick it all out with a little spiky screw driver thingy. It took me almost 5 hours (had a few days spare as I was waiting for parts from the U.K.)

For some reason I seemed to have a lot of feathery/furry stuff in mine that the air wouldn't get out. - I can be a bit obsessive like that though...

When blowing them out it's best to slip a bit of cardboard behind the condensor or the stuff gets blown straight into the coolers and rad.

    Hi

Mine was mostly a few gums leaves and the odd insect so i used a combo of these techniques. I only needed to blow the air sideways across mine to dislodge stuff.

Great tip about the cardboard though mate
