    Stock standard 4.0 P38

Just been down to Eildon to meet up with some guys. Did a run up to the top of a hill that was a bit steep, Guy with a Disco 4 on lease said no way because of the lease but new he could do it.

A lifted Triton bailed, the other guys with there lifts and big rubber went up no problems and me with my stock standard 4.0 RR and almost bald tyres on highway pressure went up with out even scrabbling. Insurance tells me it is worth nine grand and with no extras on it, it performs as well as any ToyNissMitsy with extra money spent on them.

Ya gotta love 'em, even when they drive you mad.

And yours is a very nice, well cared for P38.
    Nice colour.
There is a 4.6 HSE round the corner from me. The same colour. I'm patiently waiting for him to put a "For Sale" sign on it.

Yep, even in stock standard configuration the p38 is still a very competent off road beast - much to the disgust and amazement of the Nissotas.

I don't think so. I thought a for sale sign was going to be put on it when he bought the Puma.
    No such luck.
But, then again, the Puma was probably bought as the car to use whilst the P38 was away getting repaired.

Mick you need to grab the one for sale right now in the Marketplace. It's a well sorted BARGAIN that is only being sold due to the owner moving on to an L322.

Stop mucking around, you know you want one!
    Hoo-Roo,

That's the one that's never been off road isn't it Dave?

We took a few lines on our trip that the father in law wouldn't with his Triton. He's got mts and double lockers. On a previous trip we did a track where he needed both lockers and a lot of throttle in low first, we were in low second at 2200 and the etc light flickered a couple of times.
