    Ups and downs of Christmas

First off a Merry Christmas to you all, may you take the rough preferably over the smooth, for what is a RR if it is not going off-road?

Here's a good EAS riddle. When the car is empty the EAS works perfectly well. When I add a tank of fuel or anything in the boot, the EAS refuses to rise.

When disconnected the system doesn't leak. The block was rebuilt 6 months ago, the airbags 2 years ago and the pump rebuilt about 4 years ago (and I think should be again soon).

I'm guessing the pump, but does anyone have any better and informed suggestions?

    Merry Christmas

    Jonathan

Leaks under strain - possibly you have fractured bags (this soon after replacing them seems a bit odd though). Perhaps you are right in saying the compressor. It might not have the guts to fill your tank properly.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to you!

    Pump for sure.

    Not enough pressure being generated.

    HI

I replaced the o-rings and piston seal in my pump last weekend and it definitely made a difference for the better.

Do you have a bypass system with a pressure gauge?

Compressor I would estimate. Amazing what a difference a good one makes

Yeah, I'm thinking pressure. I haven't got a Guage on the system yet. As it's Christmas I'm just going to be riding around on manual air and tackle the eas in the new Year

After my recent eas learnings/experience I'm tempted to fit an electronic pressure gauge in the cabin. I have a little green LED light that I now watch almost obsessively to ensure the compressor isn't running excessively, which it was, but isn't now.
