Water in the spare wheel well- 2007 RR HSE

    Hi all,

So first off I want to say- you have an incredible group of members with a ton of knowledge (I am from the US and after paroozing through a couple forums, I feel that you all would have best thoughts on my dilemma).

I have found a few posts on this topic, but haven't narrowed down a thread with the same issues...

I found some water in the spare wheel well and have traced it to somewhere near the weld under the tailgate. I have attempted this ([ame=http://vimeo.com/46200795]MVI 3431 on Vimeo[/ame]) , and water does seem to slowly come in, but takes a little while to see the beads of water dribble in. I do not believe that this is the main culprit, as there is evidence of water from the road, kicking up into the spare well from driving... Like small pebbles and leaves... The plugs are all in, and the stones seem to be all gathering in towards the tailgate... I have attached some pictures... I am not at all a mechanic and have minimal tools in my current apartment... Any help would be grately appreciated!! My rear speaker wiring has just shown signs of water damage (it now produces a loud deep popping for the first couple of minutes after starting)... Thams again!

G'day mate, welcome to the P38 forum!

I think your question would be best answered in the other Range Rover forum here (L322).

    Cheers

You could try the sunroof drains as if blocked will fill the spare wheel space in the p38. I doubt the engineers would have altered the drainage design much on the newer models.
