Hi Benji,
Sounds like a great trip, weird about the ABS though!
Steve
Just got back from the high country last night. Went very well except the stupid abs - that could get dangerous very quick! Could not slow down on heavy corrugations or anything remotely steep and loose. A switch is going on that wire before the next trip!!
On a better now though. We went on the gen3 bags. Not much difference on standard ride height, but yeh... a lot better on the high setting, but boy do they make it handle better on the road! For those who know the area we did Heyfield to Chenny's bridge in 15 minutes.

I know the area pretty well after living in Victoria most of my life. My sister-in-law lives in Toongabbie and my wife grew up in Traralgon, as a result I have spent many weekends up around Licola. I'm guessing you mean Cheynes Bridge? If it is, 15 minutes is doing well especially in a p38! Your brakes would be glowing. The view over to Lake Glenmaggie is superb, especially on the return journey. The high country is an area I dearly miss living in WA.

The brakes were actually fine. I'm now using genuine pads and what a difference it makes.
Yeh it's beautifull past of the world alright. Especially the Caledonia valley. We've been there a few times and it blows me away every time.
I'd give my eye teeth to go down Margaret River again though. And I could live in Albany!
