    new water leak

    Hello people,
I have had water leaking into the passenger foot well, I changed the heater o rings last year and they have been fine ever since and I actually have no error messages on the hevac display, the only thing I can think of is the heater matrix but I thought that leaked into the drivers side,

Any help gratefully received before I pull the dash out again.

Stick your hand up beside the gearbox. You'll find the ac evaporator bung - the passenger side drain outlet. Stick a soft wire brush or similar up. It might be blocked. You can just about access it from the cabin as well. Just to the front of the triangular vent panel near the obd plug. It can be pulled off to squirt compressed air down.

Hope that proves to be it.

I found it quite easy to stick a straightened coat hanger up the drain tube from below the vehicle.

I am 99% sure it'll be your issue.

    Cheers

The others are 100% right however as you have not done this before you should do it right. Locate the end of the drain under the car ( Rubber Ducks Arse )
Position yourself so your head is directly under it looking up. Reach up and squeeze the rubber to un-stick the ends allowing the water to drain.

Thanks for the practical tip, is there one eyeball that's better to drown than the other?

Is there a leak only when you use the aircon or also when you park/drive in heavy rain?
The drain tubes for the aircon have a teet on the end with a slit to allow the water to escape but prevent rubbish from getting in. The rubber material degrades and either hardens or becomes sticky and clogs the orifice. If you cut 3mm from the end of the teet the water will flow freely and not overflow into the footwell.
The other cause of water ingress is leaking from the panel above the pollen filter, under the facia below the windscreen.
Search " water in footwell" ...there are numerous posts and pics on how to effect a permanent fix.
