Hammer?![]()
I need to remove the window on the tailgate of the 1998 P38 Bitch.
It has some rust below it that I need to attend to.
Do they pop out ?
Is the whole thing held in with screws or something ?
Thought I would ask before poking around with it.
Does anyone have a rear upper tailgate thingy to fit said Bitch, without any rust in it ?
No matter what colour.
Ta.

I think you will find they are glued in. I believe you can remove them with a hot wire, but mostly they have to be sacrificed to remove.
Graeme Cooper Automotive in St Peters Sydney are dismantling a P38, they mostly only salvage the mechanicals.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Need a 25mm blade for sides and 30mm "U" shaped blade for top/bottom. Careful with clips. Check chassis/body sectn RAVE for full details. Can also use a cutting wire. will need new finishers but glass can be reused. cheers

the local "O'Brien" auto glass mob or similar will surely have suppliers able to provide the rubber surrounds/finishers etc. for the job. Yep, remove the interior trim first. The external "finisher" which runs along bottom edge of the glass is held in by 7 clips... need to free it from these first then remove the finisher. The side (vertical) finishers are glued to the glass. you can remove these with the flat blade and if cleaned up you may be able to reuse them... cheers
