    Question A small favour, radiator and shroud depth

    Hi

    I am considering getting the twin thermo fans to go with the Aussie desert cooler radiator I just bought, but I need to check the available space.

    My beast it currently at Rampt Customs so I can't check it myself.

    I was hoping someone could measure from the front of the radiator to the edge of the shroud and let me know how deep the combined measurement is

    Hi Steve,

    On my '95, 4.6 I get 200mm from front of radiator to shroud edge. There is an extra 60mm where the shroud extends to try to cover the alternator pulley.

    I have the radiator but they forgot to put the fans with it

    When I rang Norm suggested it may be tight for room with the fans, which run about 100mm deep with the shroud, hence the need to measure.

    The ADC radiator is 70mm deep so it seems there will be enough room

    I splashed out on the Dakota Digital controller and the BIM ODBII module, and I will of course let everyone know how it all goes

    Turns out they sent the wrong radiator

    They sent me an GEMS version, however they have been very helpful and instantly sent me a return voucher which means I shall not be out of pocket.

    I have also given them pics and the model ID details, will give them the changeover VIN when i look it up it as well

    So if any GEMS owners are looking for an upgraded radiator, Aussie Desert Coolers will have one in stock

    They are all made to order of course
