I've been down the same track with the 3 amigo's and no brakes. Thankfully engine braking is pretty good!

Mine ended up as the abs modulator after the plastic part collapsed. A kit is available from Russell Botha up near Cairns, rx007.car@bigpond.com but it could also be your accumulator, the black ball like object that screws into the brake system near the abs pump. They are much easier to replace than doing a modulator rebuild. Either way follow the procedure in the manual and do a full brake fluid flush and bleed, the difference in pedal pressure is remarkable!

    Thanks Gary,

I'm thinking of doing exactly as you suggest, think I will replace the plastic washer and the accumulator at the same time, neither is going to hurt a 19 year old vehicle!

Thanks for the contact details for the kit, will be ordering one tonight I think.

Does the (1995) P38A run the same modulator as the '95 Classic softdash?
Mine, - sorry, my son's - just turned over 200K.
    - Like to be forewarned and ready for "when" as well as "If".
