Great pics! Good work mate!
It shows clearly how important a good bow wave is! Had you not had a good bow wave, things could have been different!
Cheers

I'd thought I'd share with the brotherhood some pics of "Hoover" getting a bath in the Turon river near Capertee last weekend after a week of rain. Needless to say I'm rather chuffed at the wading ability of a stock P38!

Indeed Keith,
I must say not a drop of water in the air box but, I would not like to try this over an extended crossing. FYI it was around 800mm deep on the first pic and more on the last one, we walked it first, naturally.

Very brave. I've seen P38 drown in far less water.
Any ingress in to the cabin?
Well done Rob, & nice pics. I also know of a P38 which drowned in less water than that, a day I'll never forget & wont be allowed to by numerous Aulrovian's.
Martin.
Not a drop in the cabin or air box, I should qualify by saying that to get these photos some one was on the other side, and I'm not going to let a Triton be the only one over there, I can assure you that would kill my ego stone dead not to mention I was with work mates, just imagine the flack!![]()
Looks like you went topless too - no bra. Just goes to show hey.
Nice location. When I was a little guy we lived on a property on the Turon River, down at Turondale though. I have pictures someplace of a big excavator under 6 foot of rubble after a big flood. That would be close to 30 years ago now. I always remember the area though, really nice
