Pretty sure mine has had this done. I have never had to do an EKA code entry.

    Rupert,
I'm presuming you need the BECM sent to you to do the reprogramming? How much $$$ to have the reprogramming done?

Yesterday, I had the Engine Disabled message come up again when the key fob did not unlock the door. Having the 2nd fob made no difference. It too did not work. Despite my owners manual having a sticker on it advising that the EKA code was not available on Australian models I thought I would give the local LR dealer a call to see if there was in fact an EKA available for the vehicle. A big thanks to Matt in Barbagllo spare parts who was able to give me the code after I provided the last six digits of the chassis number. Entered the code and I'm mobile again .

This thread prompted me to look at my owners manual and right there inside the cover is a "key code". But its only 3 digits. Aren't they supposed to be four?

Yep, mine has 4 numbers, and looking at the instructions it loks like 4 numbers are expected. A quick phone call to a LR dealer should be able to resolve it

Gary a lesson to all, get your EKA code and know how to use it.

    Hi

This page has a lot on the subject and I have used the generic 1515 code successfully on my P38

Security and Alarm System Operation & Diagnosis on Range Rover 4.0/4.6/P38A

    Thanks Steve

    An interesting bit of reading!

Hopefully I won't have to use the code again. But at least I know it works!

My latest problem is a failed fuel pump . I'm about to cut the access hole in the floor ready to replace the pump to be replaced.
