Unfortunately they said they were waiting on the heads about 7 months ago so I wouldn't be holding my breadth. Since then no updates and no mention of prices.....

Hi
I stated a thread on rr.net about the steering guard to see if any of our friends across various ponds know of any.
Someone mentioned Lucky8 appear to have a terrafirma one fitted which caused me to mention the snorkel.
A member "rolledover" said;
"I'd bet the snorkels are ready. I spoke with Erik at Lucky8 a few weeks ago was told they were just waiting on the tops to come in from a new supplier."

But i do hope they do come through soon... as it sure did look good for a snorkel.
There's a few people sitting waiting waitingfor another update re their snorkel! Would be nice to see an update from the horses mouth.
I'm sure we could start a group buy if the deal is right!
+1 for waiting waiting![]()
Lucky8 has moved on from the P38 project vehicle and now has a new thread for a Discovery 3 project, unfortunately this may result in a sharp decline in their interest in the P38.
Hopefully the snorkel will still be released as a commercial product but it probably won't be anytime soon

Hi
Ahh well that explains the delay, I hope they do at least try to commercialise the snorkel.
If not we have something to base a design on at least!
Steve
A couple on months ago when I was talking to Justin he did explain what the hold up had been. Apparently the guy that developed the snorkel ended up with a brain aneurysm. Needless to say the project went on hold. Justin did assure me that the p38 snorkel project was not forgotten.

Come on guys., Just spend the next few weeks designing and fabricating your own!! It'll only take about $500 in R&D costs and 50 hours of your time!! Perhaps a stretch. But the commercial "off the shelf" option remains the dream. Hope it comes to fruition. It sure is a nice design. Wish I'd thought of that.

You could always ask "Andrew e" to release his Hard Range RAI/Snorkel design to the public domain, or joint venture it. R&D and tooling for fibreglass fabrication already done. Someone with plastic extrusion/moulding tooling expertise could commercialise it.
