Intermittent stalling - '95, 4.6 auto
Hi Folks,
Resurrecting a '95 GEMS here and treated it to new plugs and a MAF clean yesterday. Test drive threw up some stalls and message GEARBOX FAULT. Restart and away we go. Nanocom interrogation showed logged auto box fault - INVALID ENGINE RPM.
Just looked at battery terminal voltage at idle which was 13.9V and alternator output was 14.02V (with a few revs).Possibly some alternator noises as well. Don't want to skew your thoughts to the alternator, but what else, and how should I check?
TIA
Steve
