Did you buy the last rad from Australia?
If you've got your receipt, I'd be ringing them up. Two years is not okay for a $300 rad.

I honestly dont know the reason for this, but i've never encountered any vehicle in the past that goes through radiators like there is no tomorrow. Had a new radiator put in last year in May when the head gasket got done, however little over a year, it's leaking on the bottom tank joints. I took it out, tried re-clamping it with no luck only making the situation worse. The previous radiator got me about 2 years with the same problem. The one before that also.
3 radiators in 4 years, what a joke!! Where is the quality gone these days?? Surely this cannot be a P38 syndrome, finding a geniuine radiator seems fruitless, and getting one made up at Aussie dessert coolers is rather expensive, though the money ive spent over the years i reckon it would have easily paid for iteself. What is going on in these manufacturing lands i.e China, Scottland etc where these radiators come from? They must be manufaturing them with major flaws or bad quality control. Can hardly call them OEM standard.

What's the fault. Seals failing (crimped tank header) or corrosion occurring? Did you check if there is a voltage in the fluid (ie electrolysis? ). Don't know the radiator mounting but is there some frame distortion causing the joint to be loaded up and fail? I mounted an electric fan on a RR radiator frame, causing the bottom joint to fail with the extra weight and vibration.
Basically the bottom joins where the crimps are, they start leaking. I did notice that the crimps over time begin to seperate, which i'm guessing is the pressure build up in the radiator. Problem is, the P38's cooling system usually runs under pressure.
I did check the electrosys a while back, which seemed within range.
My britpart radiator is 4yrs old and is holding up well...
Aussie desert coolers sounds good for longevity, but how hard is it to remove the tanks for proper cleaning?
I have seen an Aussie Dessert radiator, no doubt they're well built. Bit short on the cash at the moment to get one.
I'm wondering if electrosys is the case, wether that can break the joins within 12months? I would have thought its more a corrossion issue with the aluminium.
Have a look at Speedway Motors, America's Oldest Speed Shop, street catalog and go to cooling. They have quite a range all for high horsepower applications in a variety of measurements. quite reasonably priced and their freight charges are not excessive.
