Sold off my '98 P38 a couple months ago... now to find a nice upgrade; thinking a defender![]()
As some of you may, or may not know, my P38 has been sadly de-comissioned due to the fact that there are to many issues to the point where it is starting to snow ball. It has been a tough decision to make, but it has gotten to the point that i have to cut my losses, and break this one up for parts. I will say this much that i'm not done with Land Rover, and am already making plans on purchasing a newer Bosch P38 just to able to experience one.

Having owned two RRC, a D1, a 110, and two P38, I'd have to agree with you, Dave.

I must be a bit odd then (though that's been said before), as I'd actually rather a defender than a p38 just for driving - it feels more connected.
In terms of family safety though, that's a different matter.
I would miss the ability to get seriously moving when needed though.

Even having never driven a defender I just could not see any comparison except badge!
Basic standard vs Luxury. Huge difference!!
