    Sway bar disconnects

I've been trolling through the forum, even used the useless search engine but I can't seem to find who did the sway bar disconnects recently on their p38. It's on my short term list of modifications.
Can anyone remember who did the modification?

If you use the aulro-specific google search in the bottom left hand corner of the page and search on 'p38 swaybar disconnect' there's a tonne of information... some of it quite recent
Once I had figured how to negotiate a roundabout with all 4 wheels simultaneously in contact with the road I realised that a fully connected sway bar was helpful

I've added the JKS sway bar disconnects. Not actually disconnected them yet. To lazy. Must try it. Dead easy tho. I'll dig out the post.

I've been in hiding for a while.

JKS ones on my P38. Happy with them although I still need to shorten them ever so slightly as they can touch the steering rod on full flex without them disconnected. Easy fix though and as long as I disconnect offroad I'm not too worried. I can measure them for you when yours arrive so you know they should be 5mm shorter (depending on your bump stop height)

Here are some flex shots to tempt you ha ha. I can get install pics or dimensions if you like though. They seem to make a difference and keep the car slightly flatter but it wasn't night and day. This isn't lifting the front though with the +2 Terrafirmas.

I have the fast flex system on the FANTOM but must admit to not having disconnecting them mainly due to the fact that I want to make up some hangers for disconnect when it is disconnected otherwise they will just swing in the breeze so to speak & i am concerned that they make end up hanging up on something!

I am curious to see how long it took for delivery of your sway bar disconnects. Mine were ordered on 6th Sept and still no sign of being shipped yet! The web page shows that they have 2 available?

Well after 6 weeks of empty promises from Amazon I have cancelled the order. I have never had to deal with such a useless company before! I had been advised by their customer support a few times that yes, it has been shipped and the parcel should arrive in 3-4 days. Each time the promised date came and went followed by more apologetic emails from them. Enough is enough, the order is now cancelled.
Some good news however (if only I'd done this before placing the order ) A local J**p (sorry for swearing) accessory place here in Perth has them in stock for only $10 more than Amazon by the time you add on the shipping. This afternoon I'm calling past to collect them from SBR Off Road in Wangara WA. Ironically only 15 minutes from home . This weekend they should be all fitted up and the connector that I borrowed from RoverHse (Vernon) can be returned.

Bugger but good you eventually got your money back and can now buy them locally.

I have had a positive experience in general. Only once have I had challenges putting the last pin in but it was on a slightly uneven surface where the sway bar was probably 20mm from level with the pin.

One thing that surprises me is that they tend to get quite warm being nearish the exhaust. Like just a little too hot to hold for longer periods. I'd say the grease will be fine though.

Once I've only disconnected one lower pin when I was too lazy. Also holds the sway bar up this way without the sway bar working. Although I generally disconnect both bottom pins and let the sway bar hang as it's unlikely to catch on anything, not will it wreck the steering arm as the sway bar can easily be rotated up when flexing. I did try cable ties to hold the sway bar up a few ties but sometimes I just get lazy
