    EAS Fault - Pressure Switch

Well I had the EAS beep at me a week back and the lights flashed on dash with the High Indicator/sign near the speedo come on. But within a few seconds it all went back to normal. No message on the display. Didn't think much more of it.

But today I had it again, but this time the EAS fault came up. So I switched my EAS dash power switch off and drove home in case it wanted to hit the bump stops.

Nanocom detected a fault but unfortunately I rushed and reset it after brushing over what it said and all back to normal. Then thought maybe I should have recorded the fault... Woops.

But it was along the lines of "Pressure Switch State Not Changed - Constantly Low" or something along those lines.

    So quick read seems;

    - Possible Driver Pack failure although rare
    - Maybe the pump isn't getting up to pressure
    - Maybe a connection problem between the pressure switch and the EAS
    - Maybe a failing pressure swicth although I think that is normally a High reading.

Anyway, I'll likely hold off until the weekend to suss this out but just getting ideas before. Maybe it won't do it again before then.

I'm thinking first thing is to hook my pressure gauge back up on the emergency air valves as the line is hooked up to the locker at the moment. This will monitor if the pressure isn't getting up there.

If the pressure isn't getting up there I should check for major leaks.

If no leaks found then maybe the pump needs an overhaul.

If it rises really slowly maybe the pump is due for an overhaul.

How long again from an empty tank to full?

If the pressure seems to go up there then maybe its intermittent connection from the pressure switch.

If the pressure increases above the 140 psi then maybe the switch is malfunctioning.

Anyone's suggestions, corrections or comments welcome.

It's supposed to take eight minutes from zero to hero (145psi). Have you done the RSW pressure switch test (you tube it).

No. I haven't done anything yet as I've got a second car so wasn't overly keen to do much diagnostics tonight. But I will be sure to search that though.

Edit: Easy check so will do that if the pressure gauge shows higher than 140 psi.

Well after resetting the EAS fault, it hasn't returned. Tank is getting up to the normal pressure, the pressure switch is closing and pump turning off according to Nanocom. Hmm. Guess I wait until it comes up again I guess. I still haven't checked how long to fill the tank though but its making the pressure at least. Maybe a dodgy connection.

I had this problem and it would go away for a day or two at a time and then return, replacing the switch solved the problem
