Hi all, just want to say I enjoyed walking around today seeing all vehicles, unfortunately could only stay for a couple of hours. It was a pleasure to meet scouse and his diesel and a quick chat with the tree......!

Sorry Striker, I walked past the van a couple of times but didn't see you in there. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in the way of entertainment for the kids this year so much of my time was spent looking after them.

It was good to meet a few members on here too. Oh, and Ron as well .

The DSE went well, even though it was only a 200km round trip. 9.4litres/100km according to the trip computer & around 525km for 1/2 tank so far.

I was slightly embarrassed to be Awarded "Best in Class P38" at the expo.

Personally I think both Ron and Scouse have better vehicles

Now if I can just get the motor to rev past about 2,500

It was good to put some names to faces and to meet some of the very helpful people from this forum as well

Ha ha, I think someone had better check up on Ron today. We went up with Ron to the presentation to watch him collect his trophy only for Ron to discover that he no longer has the Best P38 by Far .
I only hope Elisabeth was able to console him last night .

I didn't count the P38s there but the numbers appeared well down compared to past years. I think there was only around 6 there.

Having only had the car a couple of weeks I haven't even got around to washing it yet !

Maybe they liked the new stainless cats it has and the superpro bushes in the front end with shiny new nyloc nuts

The rest of the front underneath is pretty oily a slow rocker cover leak!

Last year there seemed to be 10 or 15 P38's, maybe age is really starting to catch up with them

Here's Steve Farmer (now known as TheTree - if you saw him, you'd know why) attempting the articulation ramp. (That's Tusker from this forum behind the ramp.)

I suspect mine was excluded from judging as it's a modded vehicle (at least that's my excuse ). Mine is the white one in the circle of examples of each vehicle model.

Elisabeth didn't console me - I drank a bottle of shiraz instead.

Given that SWMBO is currently in Sydney for an extended time to care for her frail Mum, I had high hopes of attending ... glad you all had a good day out! ....well I hope there's next year! There's always a "next year".... isn't there?

Got to ask, TheTree, what kind of suspension do you have in your P38? Is that still on bags?

    It has standard bags fitted.

The assistant actually said to me "you could have gone further but the wheel was touching the guard" ... I realised later that the suspension was not on high setting
