Boy oh boy, looks like you've been hit with every known P38 complaint all in one go... This will test your patience.

At a little over $200 shipped (software and dingle) it's going to hurt the pocket a bit, but this is definitely on my list of wants now.

If you are on a budget you can use the free software ( I do ). You also need to get an usb to serial converter.

It's definitely a test, mate. The biggest issue now is that I'm dependant on it for work, and at the end of my finances to fix it.

Thanks very much for the links, they're bookmarked, and I hope to be buying them next week.

Mate, you are having a bad run and I feel for you, so don't buy the cable, I've got a spare here I will send you. I have also found a spare Prolific PL-2303 USB-Serial Adapter and a mini-CD with USB driver and a copy of EAS Unlock Suite.

Don't send me money... Merry Christmas - I'll have a couple of your pancakes one day ... but please do consider making a donation to Storey Wilson for his excellent EAS Unlock Suite.

Longer term, I highly recommend saving your $ up and getting a Nanocom Evolution from Blackbox solutions. They are around $500 and worth it for peace of mind.

PM here or via FB with your address and you should have it before the weekend.

    Cheers, Paul.

Paul, I can't begin to thank you enough.

I'm not sure if I have you on FB or not, so I PMed you here. Could you PM me back your FB name, and I'll certainly add you.

Your poffertjes are on the house. Bring some people to take advantage of it.

I checked out the Nanocom Evolution on eBay just now, and the two I found for the P38a are $900+. Buying direct from Black Box is half the price. It's definitely going on my list of things to buy.

This should help me diagnose some things without having to go to a workshop, and I saw how clearing a fault can fix the problem entirely.

Paul, a very nice gesture, you are always so generous.
Have you had any experience with Storey Wilsons V3 eas software and cable. It seems to cover a lot more than just the EAS
