There's a huge difference in prices being asked for the replacement Borg Warner Viscous couplings. It may even be that you can get one imported from the UK for at least a couple of hundred dollars less that the asking price here in Aus. It's worth shopping around.

EDIT: BTW, the part number is RTC6044 and Karcraft in Sydney have the genuine part listed for about $1,210.oo (my price list is a couple of yrs. out of date) but it's a guide at least. You'll also need a seal and possibly a new output bearing as well... it's all in RAVE...

I believe I waived to you, I commented to my daughter that I got our first P38 wave today. Fantom P38 I would love to come out for a run in the Wombat, I will just need to fix my VC first. I used to take my D2 out fairly regularly in the Wombat because it's only 10 mins away.

If it is your VC that needs replacing, I found the best price last year to be Ashcrofts. Shipped from UK in 3 days :D.
Exchange rates are all over the place at the moment so definitely worth shopping around

There is a complete box with transfer case on ebay, Melbourne at the mo for $399. Would make for a quick swap over as the VC is already in the housing.

Thanks wayneg for the heads up but I won't risk using a second-hand one, I saw o e of those transfer cases had 220k on it,my rangie only has 198k. Will probably buy from Ashcroft, that's where I got my cdl lever for the disco
