Seal between MAF& air filter box

I started the car up tonight and heard a slight hissing sound coming from what I initially thought was an EAS leak but turned out to be the joint between the MAF & the air filter box. Now since I've had the car there has never been an o ring to assist the seal but I'm curious if there should have been one?

Thanks Ron. Is it just a standard o ring or a unique shape?

Looks like standard o-ring to me, I was thinking of replacing mine as a service item

Yes, a standard O-ring by the look of it.
