What year model? My '95 doesn't have EKA activated.
I have a plain key as a spare and it works quite well.
Hi, I know there is a lot of info on this type of stuff, and the p38 is a royal pain when it comes to the key fobs.
I don't actually know what key I have, nor if it is original, and I don't fancy paying out to much much on the off chance land rover has the correct set up on file.
My key works as a key in the door, and also starts it, but no remote.
There are a couple of places in the uk which can some how supply a working key, but I will need to send them the key first.
My question is.......
Can I shut of the immobiliser so that I can just use a key blade ( cut to fit obviously ) without the actual fob while I send it away?
I don't really fancy using the eka every time I want it to start, although I would like to try it to make sure it works.
Thanks Simon

From memory Rupert Prior can modify your BECM to bypass the immobiliser. You will need to send your BECM away for a while (to NSW?)
Gary
I think you need Lee from Lab Electronics for the key voodoo
Labtronx Home
He needs your BECM and key fobs to make it work as far as I know.
Rupert may be able to do it as well.

Untill I repaired my fob myself ( pin needed re soldering. Very delicate procedure. ) I used our Nanacom to turn off the alarm and immobiliser.
Still off.
I also have a spare key that works fine.
If I lose the use of the fob and use spare key I know that the alarm and immobiliser wont activate.

They sound brilliant! No more EKA codes required. How many owners have them connected? At $88 not a bad price either.
Gary
How did you turn it off with the nano com?
Mine is a 98 gems.
Just a reminder, never unplug any cabling from the Nanacom first.
In fact my cable is always connected to the Nanacom permanently and the thingy kept in brown paper bag that it came in and stowed in the glove box.
