The v8 makes a perfect tourer on lpg. Weighing 3 tonne we averaged 13.7l/100k up to qld and back. With the lpg we filled up at Goondawindi, and the next fillup was in Echuca.
Have you thought about putting a 1hdfte in it.....

Yeah, non-believers and naysayers. Back in your boxes. When you own one and belong here come back for a positive place to lurk (and learn) and have good clean, pleasant, time.
Until then, stop spoiling our good times and putting crap on our choices. It's not like we flood all over and through your usual haunts and hang it on your decision making, now is it?

Hoo-Roo,
Dave.
There's a 2.5td P38 for sale on carsales right now, easier than an engine conversion...
If I didn't already have two P38's id give it a shot...

You can get LPG at reasonable prices all the way out to Central Qld...the new injected systems are amazing. A 4.6 p38a with Thor intake and ecu and injected LPG is the ultimate tourer.
Cheers

I'll second that, provided LPG is available and cheap enough.
Mine is a High Compression Thor HSE with injected LPG (gas not liquid) and I've found it hard inland and in remote areas to get gas. No shortage of petrol though!
Personally I'd rather a long range petrol tank.
