High Pressure Brake hose
Hi
One brake hose which is easily overlooked is the one which runs from the pump to the Master Cylinder.
I replaced mine today and the one on it was dated 1995 so it is 20 years old !
We didn't even need to bleed the brakes, we just left the banjo at the master cylinder very slightly loose (with a rag positioned) and turned the ignition on for a few seconds; that bled the new hose perfectly.
There was a suggestion on rr.net that failure of these hoses might account for some of the under bonnet fires that we have seen
