Yep.. thought about that but we live inner city and there's no room...and 24/7 street parking not an option There's also the matter of a large bedroom which opens onto a deck where vehicle is parked. Bedroom was unoccupied so I (ah hmmm) moved bed elsewhere and err hmmm built a bench complete with vyse and bench drill stand,,, hung stuff from walls,, quite the self contained workshop... I have had 8 yrs of getting away with this but even I now concede it needs to be reclaimed for its proper purpose... extended family visiting and all that
    cheers

Oh ... I forget how tiny suburban blocks are .... Your wife would love all the crap you could spread over a few acres if you could con her into shifting ........ Could be worth suggesting to her You could go 4wd'ing around your own yard to

    Noooooooo!!!!

Gee, I am sad to hear you are having health issues Hoges. I hope you are on the mend. You will be missed here, I hope you don't disappear and continue to share your P38 wisdom.

Enjoy the new ride. Thanks for all your tech support thus far.

Bugger that! I wouldn't want family staying with me!

Sorry to hear about your problems, Allan. I'm sure your Santa Fe will be more reliable than any LR product and that has to be a plus.

Thanks for all your help over the years.

Thanks for the support and help over the years Hoges.

Best wishes with the future and moving through this change in life and lifestyle.

    But seriously... Korean?

Yuk and aaargh! Definitely not my cup of tea... Although the Mrs did have a cheeky little first gen Kia Sportage back in the 90's.

It was a great little buzz box for the first few years of the lease. Plenty capable off road too... Just not enough clearance for anything more than green lane-ing style stuff.

Good luck anyway, see you in the soup!
    Hoo-Roo,

    Dave.

I haven't been on here for a while, but I am sad to read that Hoges is no longer in the fold.

Hoges - if you see this thanks for all your help over the years.

Whilst I am also no longer a P38 owner, I did switch to a Range Rover Sport. It's a beautiful car but I haven't had the same obsession with it that I had with the P38, which will always be one of my favourite cars of all time.

    Cheers

It went to a good home, I've had the red one for 15 years and the Hoges' black one for about 6 months. I used the black one to pull 2.5 tonnes of boat, trailer and people out of a steep gravel ramp yesterday.
