Ignition - cars continues to run when key removed
Hi guys.
I've had an issue a couple of times.
A few months back a get a message from my wife saying the car was running in the driveway. It had started up and ran all by it's self.
Well I done some research, and questions and then replaced the fuse box.
Well over the weekend I parked up, turned the ignition off and removed the key. As I done it, I heard the starter go, all dash lights came on as if the ignition was on, and the car stayed running. The moment I put the key back in it all went off as normal.
So what am I looking at here? I would say that the barrel is ok as it does what it should, but the switch is faulty. What part is connect with the key? As in the alarm / immobiliser.
I only run a key blade, alarm & immobiliser turned off

Might be a good idea to check your earth points just in case it's something silly and that all the connections to the barrel are tight a wire shorting over could be the problem and an easy check
Good luck

Aliens..
We had the problem with the Panda trying to start itself.
Turned out to be main fuse box under bonnet internally shorting out.
Got a replacement from TRS in Adelaide.
Cheers and good luck!
