When you are idling you are doing infinite litres per 100 Km, so the consumption will naturally rise as you idle.
If you idle for a long period just after resetting , then it will do that in any car.

hi everyone been a while since my last question, rangies been going good.but just as i started to relax bang or should i say no bang she starts running like old hack it couldn't pull itself up hill without pushing the accelerator through the floor and it wouldn't kick down to get moving and in the garage the smell from the exhaust was a glanger so not having a scanner tool i consulted the bible and nailed it down to a sensor on the motor[what a bloody revalation] anyway enough funny stuff.the manual told me that it was either the throttle position sensor or the mass air flow sensor so i swapped out the tps and it got ride of the lousy performance but not the exhaust glanger so i swapped out the maf sensor and the smell has gone but now when i'm sitting at idle i can watch the trip computor litres/100 k's start rising to about 35ltrs/ 100 in 10 to 15 minutes of idling which is not normal anyone got any ideas, its got me beat.

My MY14 D4 registers 99L/100km at idle on the instant fuel use.Still consistantly returns between 9 and 10L/100km average
Its normal, our Territory does something similar.
