I'm not sure about the big cities, but up here in NQ, I'm unimpressed! I took my Torana in there to ask about spring rates and shock absorber valving to see if I could mix it up a bit on the old girl, but nobody (manager included) had any idea or even wanted to talk about it. They simply pushed their products and wrote a figure on a business card.
I had a bad experience with Fulcrum as well - I had a safety check done prior to a drive to Melbourne (on the Torana again), 1100km later my right lower control arm had snapped on the side of the road. There was a developing crack in the arm which they had not picked up and I was near Roma in QLD - nowhere near parts!
That said, they were good with pricing and very helpful with springs and shocks.
Cheers

I guess being franchised operations it comes down to the skills and attitude of the people at the particular store in question.
Last year I took my Suzi GV fourby to Pedders in Albury for an all wheel alignment....it is independent suspension on all corners. All was done no worries and a good price to boot.
A couple of months later I noticed one front tyre was just beginning to wear its inside edge so thinking I had knocked it out of alignment I cold called in to book the car in. No trouble to them - they took it into the workshop on the spot and re did the job taking a bit of weight off the inside edge. When I went to pay they wouldn't hear of it. Absolutely refused saying it is just what they do.

When I bought my blue P38 in Melbourne in 2010, I pulled into pedders in Albury for a balance and alignment. The front tyres were massively out of balance. They refused to balance and just did the alignment. No change to the issue! Not happy!

Hmmmm making me think twice about them.
I could take it to a RR mechanic, but is a fair drive from here.

I imagine it would differ from store to store.
My local one told me they would adjust the camber and castor (after one of the cheapo inspections)..... I kindly declined their offer.
