ABS accumulator
Hi all, I noticed my brakes took a couple of pumps to get working properly this morning while I was backing out of my driveway, but they have been completely normal for the rest of the day.
Same thing happened 10 years ago, replacing the ABS accumulator fixed the issue.
So looks like it's time to replace that again.
Mine is a daily driver with lots of braking, so it does get used regularly.
I need to replace a leaky proportioning valve and it's due for a proper brake bleed anyway, so I'll do everything in one go.
So my question is how long do P38 accumulators usually last?
Thanks, Pete.

Pete,
Mine lasted about 145K in about 17 years. Soccor mums car so nearly only stop and go traffic. After that I replaced it twice since I got a dud it seems. Those things are probably not made new anymore and the NOS could sometimes go bad is my thought. The current one is in there for about 6 years and some 70k.
Cheers,
-P
