Thanks for yr reply - the early model is AMR6531 - mine has the landrover part number too faded to read - maybe ends in 60 - but I can read the serial number.
If you have time could you check the part number please.
Appreciate yr help

SupporterI have had mine modified and replicated recently but I don't have an AMR number on it I think?
The sticker says YWC 106040 for my 1998 model and I provided a 1999 or 2000 model to be programmed as a spare which says YWC 106760. Since yours ends in 60 I reckon this is the same. In any case, it seems that in terms of hardware they are the same it just needs to be programmed and they can seemingly all be programmed to whatever year/car/engine you need them to be.
Cheers,
-P
Thanks - I have had the track on the power board of the BeCM repaired but need to chase down a front passenger door wiring loom - which it seems only TR spares in Adelaide have one. I have contacted my local - british offroad - but after 4 enquiries they have bothered to call me back.
Ihave scoured facebook across Australia for anyone wrecking a 2000 onward p38 HSE - cant find one - has anyone seen one?
I have also made a post about what caused this issue.

Hello,
my name is Remmer, I’m from Germany and I drive a P38. While searching on Google for the cause of my cruise control issue, I came across this forum. I then read this thread because the topic of the BECM is quite well-known when it comes to the P38.
Here in Germany, for example, some owners regularly have problems locking or unlocking their P38s via the central locking system because some kind of radio interference gets in the way. One of them happens to be an IT specialist, and he was so annoyed that he went ahead and “hacked” his BECM himself – and now he has no more issues. (There’s actually a lot you can optimize – including the EKA code and more.)
Anyway – since then, many people here have been working with the BECM. It’s not necessarily about the model year, but rather the VIN (chassis number), and there are still quite a few “parts cars” here in Germany.
A BECM here goes for around €200, and shipping would probably be another €50. I’m not sure how customs would work on your end. But maybe we can be of help to you from the other side of the world. We definitely have a few BECMs here for you – including some for RHD (right-hand drive). One of the guys in our German P38 group has several parts cars, has already shipped to Australia, and has just agreed to do so again in this case.
I don’t get anything out of this – it’s just a friendly offer.
I drive a P38 myself, and without the kind of help I received, I wouldn’t still be driving one today.
This fellow enthusiast sells his parts on eBay under this account:

Think about it – and if you’re interested, I’ll also try to get back in touch with the guy who reprogrammed his and all the otherś BECM.
Best regards from Germany,
Remmer
