Professional install of dual battery system in P38A Rangie

    Hello again,

Yet again, more questions for you!

Does anyone know of a reputable place in Victoria that knows how do do a good job of a dual battery system for my Rangie. (2001 HSE).

Would be to power a fridge and supply the usual backup to the main unit.

    Thanks again,

    Bluey.

Prefer Melbourne or Eastern Victoria, however happy to travel further for a really good install.

Many people use Piranha ( Dorset Rd, Boronia.)
They are not known for their low prices but seem quite professional - dual batteries is basically all they do.

Pirhana in Dorset rd are good, took them 2 goes with our HSE as the switchbox/brain was dodgy, but once they tracked the fault it was fine. The install they did in the Defender was great.

Otherwise Ritters in Burwood might have some ideas for you as well.

First you need to decide where you are putting the second battery. On a late model (Thor) I believe you can remove the no longer used case behind the battery (was the engine ECU case on GEMS cars) and get two batteries in there.

There's not much room for a second battery. The other option is in the rear loadspace.
