Apparently there are (or was ) a whole bunch of either cheap counterfeits or factory seconds (from the wheel manufacturers in Hungary ) going around the world. Somehow they could identify them from the numbers cast into the rims.
They point blank refused to sell me the goods until they had the numbers.
I just sent them 4 digital photos which showed the numbers and the logos etc..
