P38 pair rear height sensors $750
my mates a mechanic and is doing some work on my P38 '98HSE . she went into eas fault mode (can't get it's saggy R's off the bumpstops). so they took it to the local LR dealer who investigated and apparently the rear sensors are stuffed. after chucking a tanty about the Bilsteins and Arnotts Gen III airsprings they quoted my mate (i assume trade price ??) $750 for a pair which will have to be ordered in. have done a search here and on Rover Renovations. intended to ring Rovacraft and AMV tomorrow for cost comparisons. any other suppliers that you could recommend ??. this dealer has a reputation for being excessive. if i have to i'll pay it . i want to get her back on the black and in the mud
any advice would be appreciated. thanks

That price sounds high, but nothing surprises me with some of the quotes i have been getting. Do you want new, or used tested ones? I have a few tested 2nd hand ones laying around, but if you want new, try Karcraft in Silverwater sydney, they are wholesalers who sell to the public. If you pay with a credit card, they send it express straight away.

ANR4687 is the part number (97MY onwards).
Even full retail from a dealer should only be around $235 each, maybe a bit more but nowhere near what you've been quoted.

thanks everybody very much appreciated. the parts are on their way from the mainland, although 2nd. hand off a wreck, the source came highly recommended. it was at a substantial price difference, and a pleasure to deal with the bloke.
and i just want to say....Justin Cooper the legend continues. you were a tremendous help to a fella at the other end of the state who you didn't know and another phone call taking up valuable time ..... i hate phonus interuptus as well
. anyway thanks all and especially Justin hope to be down there soon and meet you.

Good luck Tasi. I hope that fixes your problem but it's strange that both failed.

I've "discovered" British Parts UK Jaguar | Land Rover spare parts at British Parts UK and LR Direct (UK)
The F&R EAS sensors for MY97-on are abt A$105 ea. (I was quoted $250 each locally). And a fuse box for the MY2000 $195 vs $400 from the local bloke here in Bris....
Decided to make it worthwhile and put a package together of bits and pieces ---total cost $800 AUD delivered to Bris in 10 days...total savings about $1250.
will let you know how it goes.
cheers
