The circular fitting above the LR logo is the rear reversing camera. I tried to put it in a symmetrical location opposite the boot release button. In the pic below you can just make out the oversized rear mirror which doubles as the screen for the reversing camera. It also has a second video input that one day I'll use for a forward-facing camera at diff level

Nice job Paul! did you replace the cats as well or just the rear sections? Maybe in CBR later in the year... I still miss the place! Who did the work for you?

Screen clipped over the existing mirror. Note how it has a second video input for a future forward-facing camera (The fluffy dice are optional but add to the prestige of the car ).


My son posing as the model... the distance markers on the display do nothing as far as I can tell.

Thanks Hoges - the system was replaced from the rear of the cats by Pete at Top Spec Automotive in Hume, ACT.

If you're down this way, give me a yell and we'll catch up for a brew.

Agree about sons... especially now mine has his P plates and is heading down the coast tomorrow via the Kings Hwy... what a dodgy bit of road that is... I won't rest easy until I know he is safe.

... and a new transmission, passenger doors, new/resprayed bonnet, air bags and bump stops, speedo correction unit, front and rear winches, leather seats, rock sliders, steering guard, car-puter, and maybe a supercharger or turbo

It never ends. At least I got my FaultMate and managed to flatten the battery in the car first time I used it.

Thanks DeanoH - I like the plates too. They only make sense to someone who knows Rangies.

Rear wheel carrier 'coz neither the 255/85R16 muddies or 265/60R18 roadies will fit in the spare wheel well.

Currently using the space for storing tools, recovery equipment and misc crap. One day perhaps for 2nd battery.
