What sort of gas? Injected or 'normal'. Some swear by injected and wouldn't have 'normal' at any price, yet Ritters only do 'normal'. What influenced your decision of which way to go?
What do you do with the spare?

My son in law has been installing the LPG system in My 99 P38 while I have been on the Tiwi Islands. He gave me a bit of an update today.
Lots of little things that he had to fix, like small coolant hoses in obscure spots that were getting past it. All the plugs and plug leads were stuffed. The throttle body was badly gummed up. And so on.
He said 'This car is just too smart for its own good. The plug leads are stuffed and the plugs are stuffed, and the computer has been compensating for them so that the still runs OK. But it runs a lot better now.'
The tank is a toroidal tank with 90 litres water capacity and 72 litres usable capacity, located in the spare wheel well. Fuel economy on LPG, under 'fairly high load levels, associated with testing and setting up of the system and suburban driving' is coming in at about 15 l/100km, tho he did say this is early days yet. He expects that to improve as the engine management system catches up with the new settings, plugs, leads, etc.
I'm looking forward to getting back and driving it!
He has kept a photographic record of the conversion, so I will be able to obey the rules when I get back. (Thought I'd include that before some felt the need to remind me!
One final quote:
'I reckon Land Rover should set up a fund for psychiatric counselling of their mechanics!'

G'day Andy,
Just for comparison, a complete kit here costs about $2800.
You still need to add the cost of the tank, filler and lines.
It needs the compliance plate when you have finished. Not too hard if you have contacts in the industry; could be a bit more of a challenge if you don't. There is a cost involved in this.

The Marelli system looks terrific, from the file I downloaded.
All it needs from the standard ECU is the injector duration times and it does a self calibration.
It would be relatively simple to install albeit time consuming.
