    have you tried activating the door lock with the remote held close to the aerial (under the side window ledge in the boot compartment ..driver's side ). If that doesn't work then closely check out the connections inside the keyfob...

    I'm pretty sure the owners manual says to resync using the ignition switch. This doesn't work on my 97 HSE, however it resync's in the door lock, when unlocking manually
