    How to:

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for removing the dash from the 99 P38. I want to remove the heater unit to replace the globes in the heater switches, as both are both blown. I tried attacking it today but couldnt get the side plastic bezels off without knackering them

You don't need to remove the dash for this job.
From memory, the centre console side panels need to come off & maybe a couple of other bits of trim.

Wander over to Range Rovers & I'm sure it's detailed there (with piccies too).

Yep, we've written it all up. No need to remove the heater, etc.:

    See Fascia Switch Pack

That page will give you links to removing the side panels, etc.

Ron, I have the unit out, which globes are specifically for the switches that control the temp?

Oops! I misread your post. Sorry!

You need this page: LCD Backlight Repair

The only bulbs you can replace are those accessible from the rear of the HEVAC control unit. See pics on that page. These should backlight the switches. The little LEDs that illuminate when you press the lower switches etc, are not user replaceable.

Replace all four. 3 off 1.2 watt and 1 off 2 watt.

My 1.2 watt wedge base globes could be replaced in the holders. I bought the globes at my local auto parts store.

The 2 watt bulb was welded in to its holder.
