    New Purchase

    Hi Guys

I don't post much but read a lot, great forum and great information. I am excited because I just purchased a P38 2002 with just 72000k's on it from new. It's a HSE and very nice condition, full service history, I am going to be towing a 27ft Caravan which we will be living in for a few years. I won't be doing a lot of towing so the fuel costs will be kept to a min.

Anyway when I pick it up very soon I'll attempt to post a photo.

I look forward to seeing what a P38A with less than 100,000Km actually looks like

Coasting - if you have problems posting a photo, you can email them to me and I will post/host them for you.

and now THE really rude question...

So like everyone, I'm keen to see what a fresh one looks like... though I just can't help but ask.. how much does the used limo market ask for a really nice one?

Feel free to tell me to mind my own business Cruiser, but wadjapay?

    Hi Guys
Well to put you out of your misery ...... I had to pay 35K, but when you consider the 110K new price tag and after it's a rangie I guess it was worth it. I can tell you this much, I've had 3 Rangies my 1st was back in 1976, it had 14K on the clock and I had to pay $14000 for it then. That was back in the days when you might be lucky to see 3 advertised, then by the time you got there it was sold. Some people just bought them and sat, waiting for the highest bidder, I know one guy wanted 18K for his and that was around 3K from memory above new price.

Anyway I'm really pleased with the way it drove, it's been a long time since my last Rangie (1988) and it's great to be back in the saddle so to speak.

    P38

Just a quick side note... I saw one advertised with 35K on the clock and he wanted 47K for it, now that is really pushing my limits, so I settled for second best ...lol...Plus the wife would have killed me.. we needed some money left to buy the Van.

    Regards Coasting

PS.. Paulp38 thanks for the offer I'll see how I go Mate and let you know.

In the Australian market, $35k for the marque/age/2002 model etc is a very good price... well done! When you realise that it's been costing someone else 10k per year for the past 7yrs , it's an excellent time to buy it !
