    Congrats on your new ride

I would be installing a aftermarket external Auto trans oil cooler, if your gonna be towing that van ... and upgrading the radiator wouldn't go astray either ...

    Noice rig

from my "research" it appears that from 2000 onwards there was a factory installed power outlet in the "boot" ...is this so with yours and if so what's the amps capacity?

Also, did yours come fitted with a Nav system...AND does the radio hop in steps of 9KHz or in 10KHz steps in the AM band ... mine hops in 10KHz steps although it was an "Australian" spec ...but the radio appears to be Mexico/Canada/USA... just curious!
    Thanks

Very nice looking Rangie there Coasting. I'd be fibbing if I said I wasn't just a bit envious of such a clean (and low Km) vehicle.

    Cheers, Paul.

    Hi Hoges
Yes mine jumps 10KHz at a time as well, and as far as the power outlet is concerned there's only the cigarette lighter in the rear, not sure what you mean about a power outlet.

    Hi Mike
I will be only towing small trips and the longest will be when I go to Narooma on the East coast, around 600K's so I don't think it will be a prob under those conditions, not as if I'm going to be doing thousands of K's around Aussie, then I would consider making some modifications.

    Regards

thanks for the quick response Yep, the cig lighter in the rear is the power outlet...
The radio is an imbuggerance in that it is never quite properly tuned Would appear that while the owner's manual stipulates it hops in 9KHz steps for our market the reality is that "they" fitted the wrong (10KHz interval) radio... guess it's a bit late to ask LR for the "proper" one!

I have examined the radio minutely and tried all sorts of combinations of button pressing/turning on etc to try and get it into a calibration mode to change its tuning characteristics...but no luck ...so far
    cheers & thanks

...Your Auto costs a Bomb to rebuild & a Trans cooler is very cheap insurance

All Auto trans box's collapse under overheated conditions ... and your van is very heavy

Other than that ... enjoy it's pleasures

I'm sure I saw a bulletin about a similar problem years ago. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll try & dig it up.
