Here's a small mountain climb for keen bike riders!

Looks like a great challenge bee utey! Mad mountain climbs have always been close to a true wheelman's heart!

Our bike club used to hold the "Pound for Pound" which was a Mt Cootha time trial with a handicap based on weight, number of kids (impacted on availability to train I guess!) and a few other factors....I'm the proud holder of the 2004 trophy.

At our annual Easter get away in the Ballina area, we would always include the infamous "Mt Nardi" hill climb as part of our riding. It is a gruesome climb, even the fittest have to zig zag across the road in places it is so steep! I have been told it is in fact the steepest section of bitumen in the country and having ridden it myself will not argue that call.

Mt Nardi is just out side of Nimbin, and on the descent we'd stop of at the Channon and drink beer after the shock!
