Hey Missionary, where in Tas are you? The Launceston MTB club (not sure of their proper name sorry) is having a gravity enduro series, first race is 20th SEP Ben Lomond. I'm tempted to come up for the day give it a go - Mud run is on same day though...!

Just in case anyone has any useful bits lying around.

My bike business picked up the NZ Manitou agency a few months back. We're getting a lot of shocks and forks from around 2003-2005 in and would love to get my hands on more dead shocks for parts. It's not wear and tear causing issues, it's 10 years of accumulated muppet wrenching.

If anyone has broken/worn/dead Manitou swinger, metel etc rear shocks as potential parts donors lying around I'd like to hear from you. Same for original Manitou Dorado, Xvert Carbon and Travis forks.

Some nice bikes in this thread.

Dougal, are you receiving shocks for rebuilds or trade-ins/swap? Just finished building my new dually not so long ago and now contemplating the next "newer" project build for my old Foes Weasel. I am looking for rebuilt forks from that era as I have some very ancient Bombers which are only good for wall art now.

Yes we're doing rebuilds, but I am in NZ so it's a long way to send something for an oil change.
I rebuilt a set of 2003 Dorado's last week. They are still an excellent fork. Just a bit heavier and skinnier than most these days.

I haven't done any trade-ins yet. For NZ manitou customers there is a program where an old unservicable fork or shock can get a discount on a new replacement. The Aussie distributors would likely be doing this too.

I have had the bike for about 12 months since I had the powder coating done and have found it to be great. I do have some scratches and a couple of rub marks but no chips as such. I don't think powder coating is as hard as some processes but how many after market products on your chosen Land Rover are powder coated? Maybe some colours are softer than others.
    Cheers, Phil
