do these guys operate every weekend?
either way I have only done bovine and one other........no DH for me
must get back on the bike to get a bit of fitness first........
Hiya,
Went out to Mt Joyce yesterday. Having never been there, I had no idea what to expect. Upon arrival I met up with some series downhill dudes and they were waiting at the gate for the shuttle bus. Chris from Brisbane Mountain Bike Shuttles | DH | Gravity | MTB runs an awesome service transporting you and your bike to the top of the hill. You can get a 5 ride pass for $45 or a 20 ride pass for $80. I just got the 5 ride pass for the day.
I started on the Bovine Groove (blue run as a warm up)....that was awesome, then I did Bills Link (great views from here down to the dam) then Black Rock and Pork Chop. Had an off on Pork Chop on a loose sandy corner as the front tyre dug in and threw me off the bike. Then I thought I would give the down hill boys a run for their money on Black Widow DH, Scorpion DH and Sergeant's - damn!!!!!! some big rock ledges and massive jumps! talk about adrenalin rush. Was full on!
Need to get out there again...will have to organise a day

Hi Kelvin
Keep an eye on their website and facebook for updates, but after chatting to them yesterday, yes they do operate most Sunday's at Mt Joyce. Yesterday was a quiet day due to the cold which I think put a few riders off from venturing out. It was very cold and windy on top of the mountain at 8.30 in the morning!
There are chicken tracks around some of the rock ledges and jumps on the DH runs.
Big suspension and tyres (2.5's) make a difference![]()
